Anne Dinan

Jewellery by Anne Dinan

I was immediately drawn to these accessories by Anne Dinan. I think it’s the irregularity that appeals to me. Nothing’s symmetrical and they each have a raw quirkiness. The blend of skills used to create the pieces - glass blowing, glass fusing, casting, carving, silversmithing, photo-etching and enamelling - adds to their unique charm.

You can buy online from www.annedinan.etsy.com.

Glassware by Glassprimitif

From an attic studio in wet and windy West Yorkshire comes a dazzling collection of glassware. Bright bursts of liquid colour fuse with bubble and powder effects to create a vibrant, shiny collection of dishes, cufflinks and pendants. All of the above are made by the talented Jo Whitehead of Glassprimitif. Check out her Etsy store at www.glassprimitif.etsy.com.

Jo also creates textiles, prints, decorative paper and beaded jewellery. You can find this at www.Ilovered.etsy.com.

Girls are Made of Sugar

Monday, March 17th, 2008
Jewellery by Girls are Made of Sugar

I was delighted to receive an email from twin sisters Vane & Cynthia about their charming online shop, Girls are Made of Sugar. The Spanish store is split into two sections, Vintage Lady for pretty, nostalgic trinkets and Trendy Pup?e for tales, toys, plastic dolls and other childhood treasures. It’s like dipping into your childhood jewellery box.

Prepare to be charmed at www.girlsaremadeofsugar.com.
