Art Dolls by MishMoshArt

Something a little bit different today. MishMoshArt is an online shop/gallery showcasing the handiwork of Suzanne Lappan. Suzanne describes herself as an ‘avid sewer, painter and all around insane crafter’. She creates paintings, bags, purses, art quilts and jewellery. But it’s her beautiful art dolls that grabbed my attention. Each doll is created using a variety of fabrics. They have paper clay painted faces and lovely mohair hair.

Paper Flower Girl

Rabbit Stuffie Vintage Button Napkin Rings

Blueberry Brooch Hand Sewn and Hand Painted Pin Cushions

Paper Flower Girl is an emporium of all things pretty. Earrings, toys, pincushions, bags and brooches are all handmade from a mixture of recycled and/or natural materials.

Wool felts and linens are layered and stitched to produce cute flower brooches. Vintage buttons are given a new lease of life as nostalgic napkin rings and fabric remnants are combined, hand sewn and hand painted to create plushies, pin cushions and tissue holders.

Definitely one for the Friday Afternoon Surfing list!

Wedding Gift Basket 'Cosmopolitan' from the Lovely Girls Range

‘INdollGENCES’ is the nickname given to the quirky, handmade dolls from Gifts Define. The adorable little dolls are ideal gifts for weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries etc. And with graduation season in full swing, they’re an unusual and very personal way of saying, ‘Well Done’.

Irma Niekum, the owner of Gifts Define has been making mini dolls for over 15 years. She finds giving gifts extra special as it is ‘a time to reflect on something extraordinary about the gift recipient in the eyes of the gift giver.’ Therefore, a number of her products have customisation features to enable you to personalise your own on-of-a-kind doll.

Three Green Apples

Scandinavian Beauty Pocket Wallet Oliver

The company name ‘Three Green Apples’ conjures up all kinds of wholesome images. When I had a peak at their products I wasn’t disappointed.

The collection includes soft elephant dolls, handbags, pouches, pocket wallets and more. And they all come in bright, juicy colours and are made from fun 70s vintage fabrics, retro prints and modern Japanese fabrics.

Meet Oliver (above left). Made from cotton and corduroy and stuffed with polyfill and beanies he’s a real delight to hug and hold. Also shown (above right) is the Scandinavian Beauty pocket wallet which is both functional and beautifully formed and created from vintage Scandinavian fabric.
