DIY upcycled quirkiness from Bravegrrl

Some of the things you can expect from a Bravegrrl creation:- contrast stitching, pockets, exposed serging, buttons, vintage notions, vintage fabrics, and raw edges. And lots and lots of attitude. Everything is handmade and one of a kind (apart from a few vintage items) and the vibe is DIY, upcycled quirkiness.

Check out the shop at http://bravegrrl.etsy.com.

Punchanella

Accessories by Punchanella

We all need those practical items from time to time. Bags and pouches to organise our bits and bobs, make-up bags, laptop cases, brush rolls and even door stops. Just because they’re useful doesn’t mean they have to be dull.

Check out the Punchanella range. Designer, Sarah Lalone believes in organisation, fashion and function. She picks out fabric that is part of a chic aesthetic and mixes it with good design. And the result? Cute, functional, fabulous accessories.

Indie goodies from the Bonbi Forest Indie Emporium

A little while ago I blogged about Bonbi Forest and Lee May’s menagerie of animal doodles. Since then Lee May has expanded her empire and created the Bonbi Forest Indie Emporium. As well as Lee May’s own range of hand printed t-shirts and quirky jewellery, you can now shop for indie inspired clothing, accessories, zines and homewares. Designers include Fluffstuffs, Cat and Bang, Mr PS and Gallery A. They’re all interesting and original and very very cute.

Check them out at www.bonbiforest.com.

Handmade bags from I Love My Bag

I Love my Handbag was set up by a mother and daughter team with a love for bags and travel. Combining their creative talents, they have put together a collection of handmade bags from designers around the world.

Styles and shapes vary and you can choose from day, evening and travel bags. There is a section devoted to bridal bags, which could perhaps double as pretty evening accessories. Fabrics include soft Moroccan leathers, needle cords, embroidered silks and cottons and a rather special 1920s satin brocade .

Hats and Bags by Raye Broxap Crafts

After a lazy, slovenly Christmas, this morning’s alarm call was a real shock to the system. And what a cold, dark and windy morning. But never mind, these snugly, stylish hats are sure to lift your spirits and warm your cockles. Hand knitted by Raye Broxap Crafts and modelled by the glamorous Gloria, each jaunty topper is made from luxury wools and yarns with pretty buckle and button embellishments. Mix and match with a funky, quirky handbag.
