Kristin Doner

I’m fascinated by these pictures by Kristin Doner because each one is made entirely from finger prints. Kristin explains that ‘gesture’ is the medium for this body of work. The patterns are created by capturing hand movements on a scanner. Sections are isolated and then repeated and reflected.

SquidLondon Squidarellas

This umbrella or Squidarella makes me smile. When the umbrella is dry it remains white.

But look what happens when it rains. The bird poo changes colour. Ha!

Bare Walls

The Christmas decorations came down on 6th January and the only remnants of Christmas are a pile of cards to be recycled and a stray star ornament hanging over the back door. Everywhere looks so bare now, especially on these cold, grey mornings.

Goodbye 2011
