The Christmas craft fairs are coming up thick and fast. BUST makes a welcome return to York Halls at the end of the month with over 70 stalls and a host of DIY activities – plus DJs, drinks and tasty treats. This latest event has attracted vendors from as far a field as Paris and New York.
As well as browsing the handmade wares – from screen-printed T-shirts and feathery fascinators to illustrated Christmas cards and homemade chutney – shoppers will be able to sit down to stylish tea and cake courtesy of Time for Tease and Buttercupcakes, or prop up the bar.
There will also be the chance to learn some new skills. The Make Lounge will be running an all-day Christmas bauble painting workshop, from which attendees will leave with an individual and stylishly boxed glass decoration. Bethnal Green knitting shop Prick Your Finger will teach a crochet-a-moustache class. Craft writer Perri Lewis will be making pom-pom accessories and hip pattern-makers DIY Couture will be demonstrating seamstress skills.
