Whoever came up with the idea to let 100 cats loose in IKEA is bonkers. And also a genius.
The ad is beautifully shot with a dreamy soundtrack (Pianni by Mara Carlyle) and had me grinning like a fool before I even made it to the slogan, ‘Home: it’s how it makes you feel, happy inside’. Very clever.
This is a great piece of viral marketing. I heard about it first on Twitter (via @TheMakeLounge) and saw the YouTube version before watching it on TV. There’s even a Facebook page dedicated to the IKEA cats.
But best of all is their ‘making of’ video ‘Herding Cats’ which goes behind the scenes of the filming.
