Nissan East Meets West
I love living in Manchester. I do. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. But sometimes recently I’ve found myself missing London. Just a little. Now and again. I didn’t make it along to The London Design Festival last month. Work was so busy here that I couldn’t get away. It seems I missed some intriguing events.
This year, for the first time, Nissan took part in the festival and opened the doors to their rarely seen automotive design studios. An exhibition was held from 23rd to 25th September which included a series of installations from artists and designers around the world, all of whom shared their interpretations of ‘East meets West’. To coincide with the exhibition, Nissan hosted an exclusive ‘East meets West’ themed Pecha Kucha event at the Paddington based design studio. During the event Suzanne Lee (Senior Research Fellow, St Martins School of Art & Design) spoke about Bio Couture and how to grow your own frock.
